A security guard working at a school for troubled youth was charged after not registering as a sex offender.

Court documents show Vernon Morris, 55, was convicted of forcible sodomy and unlawful imprisonment in July 1981. He was released from prison in November 2008 and required to update his registration every year.

According to court documents, Morris has lived in the Cleveland area since November 2014, but never reported his change in address.

During that time he reconnected with a friend who hired Morris as a security guard at the "Range of Change Enrichment Center," the documents show.

Morris was arrested. He admitted to being a sex offender and failing to report his change in address.
