Solon police officers saved the life of a man who apparently overdosed and was found passed out and not breathing in a locked car on Sept. 7.

Shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday, officers received a call about a person sleeping in a Toyota on Duneden Avenue.

When they located the car, they found the 28-year-old man passed out in the driver's seat with a puncture mark on his left arm. The man's head was hanging off the seat and his skin had turned blue, according to the report.

The officers radioed for an ambulance and attempted to pull the man from the car only to find the door locked.

Authorities broke the window of the car in order to reach the man. They administered multiple doses of Narcan and performed CPR.  When EMS arrived, he was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
