The man who allegedly shot and killed two of his co-workers at a Chagrin Falls assisted living center Thursday has been identified.

Police identified the suspect as 56-year-old Frank Staton of Chardon.

He remains at the hospital, under police guard, in critical condition.

Police say Staton shot and killed 58-year-old Catherine Sutter of Burton and 58-year-old Terri Treadway of Chardon at Hamlet Village in Chagrin Falls Thursday.

According to police, Staton was a chef at the facility. Sutter and Burton were both part of the cleaning crew.

Neighbors told newsnet5.com Staton had been living with Treadway in her Chardon apartment since the summer.

Friends said the couple had been fighting recently. One neighbor said Treadway's boyfriend had recently accused her of being unfaithful.

The shooting is still under investigation.
