SWAT standoff situation on Cleveland's west side ends with man taken into custody

Cleveland police responded to a man who barricaded himself inside a home with a pregnant woman Tuesday morning.

The standoff started just before 1 a.m. on the corner of W. 116th Street and Triskett Road.

A woman came out of the house around 1:30 a.m.

Around 2 a.m., Cleveland SWAT responded to the scene.

SWAT and officers arrested a man and placed him inside a police cruiser around 2:55 a.m.

 No further information about what led up to the standoff was given.
