Late night PBS television talk show host Tavis Smiley is set to be in Cleveland Monday and his show is inviting the public to be part of a live audience, ideastream announced.

The Tavis Smiley show is scheduled to be taped from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 18 in the Westfield Insurance Studio Theatre at The Idea Center at Playhouse Square. Afterward, a reception and book signing is slated from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for Smiley's latest book, “Fifty For Your Future: Lessons From Down the Road."

Registration is required to participate in the audience; the event is open to the public.

Cleveland is one of five cities on Smiley's week-long "One Great Idea Tour," which is designed to inspire solutions to United States early education challenges.

Smiley will seek to discover "one great idea" that communities in Cleveland are successfully carrying out to improve early childhood education and what impact that idea has on every Cleveland child's first 2000 days.
