The catalytic convertor was stolen from a Texas residents vehicle while it was parked at the Rapid Transit Station parking lot on Shaker Boulevard in Shaker Heights on Wednesday.
While on the scene investigating the incident, officers noticed a second vehicle with its catalytic converter stolen, according to a police report.

These two incidents are the latest in a string of car part thefts in the Cleveland area. Over the past couple months, there have been at least five reported incidents of car parts stolen from Shaker Heights to Solon. In remains unclear if the incidents are related, despite several occurring at the Shaker Boulevard RTA parking lot.
