According to Trinity High School officials, the district was notified on May 4 about a teacher giving alcohol to students in the parking lot of a community event the night before.
The teacher was immediately suspended and after an internal investigation, school officials said the decision was made to terminate his position.
The students involved will also face disciplinary action, school officials said.
“As always, protecting the safety and well-being of the students entrusted to our care is our highest priority,” school officials stated.
The matter was reported to the Ohio Department of Education, as well as Garfield Heights Police.
