A trip to an ATM nearly cost a Bedford man his life.

Richard Sunday went to the PNC bank on West Grace Street in Bedford around 10:30 Monday evening. He said he decided to use the walk up machine because someone else was already using the driving up ATM.

Sunday said he hit the wrong button for his code and before he could re-enter it , he heard a voice. "He said, give me all you got," explained Sunday.

"He pulled up the gun and pointed it at me," said Sunday. I instinctively went to hit him in the head and I heard the gun go off," added Sunday.

The bullet grazed the 56-year-old's head. He went to the hospital where he received staples in his head. Sunday feels very fortunate that the trip to the ATM didn't cost him his life. " I said my prayers and talked to my guardian angels," he said. " Very fortunate. I feel very fortunate," Sunday said.

Two juveniles were arrested. They didn't get any money from Sunday. Police are still looking for the other two suspects.
