The two Parma girls who claimed on Monday that two men in a white van had enticed them have since told police they made it up, may face criminal charges. Parma police reported Saturday.

It will be up to the prosecutors office whether to charge the 12 and 13-year-old juveniles, according to police. Officers think a determination could be made on the issue next week.

In the original 911 call, the girls' mother said her daughters told her one of the men got out of the van and chased them when they refused to get in. The girls also provided descriptions to the police.

The girls later indicated to police that they fabricated the story because they were late getting home.
