Some thieves in Westlake seem to have chosen an unusual target.
Dyson vacuums were stolen twice in three days from Bed Bath & Beyond at Promenade at Crocker Park, police reported.
The thefts happened on Nov. 5 and Nov. 8, 2015. According to police reports, a man and a woman were caught on surveillance video taking two vacuums from the store just before 5 p.m. on Nov. 5. In the Nov. 8 incident, employees followed suspects out of the store and was injured during an encounter with them after they said they stole vacuums.
The vacuums are valued at about $700 each.
Police believe that the suspects are involved in thefts at other Bed Bath & Beyond and other stores in the area.
Police broke up a vacuum theft ring in Cleveland in December.
