Every year since 1969 students have been throwing pumpkins down Grove Hill in Chagrin Falls and early Thursday morning the tradition continued.
Just after midnight, junior and seniors from Chagrin Falls High School tossed a U-Haul truckload of pumpkins down the section of Main Street.
Some pumpkins are donated others are left out for students and yes, some are even stolen.
This year one student was arrested by police for being intoxicated but it appeared no injuries were reported.
After the pumpkins were tossed down the hill and the guts were smeared on the street, students used sleds, small plastic swimming pools, an occasional recycling bin and anything else that will help them slide down the hill.
Those who brought the pumpkins were issued a ticket for illegal dumping.
