The 74-year-old woman who plowed into a crowd of people at a Parma Heights community center last August has pleaded no contest to the charges against her.

Donna Chidsey pleaded no contest Monday to one count of vehicular homicide.

Chidsey was leaving a senior citizen concert on Aug. 21 at the Greenbriar Commons recreation center when she accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake as she was pulling out of her parking space.

Kathleen McDonald, 61, and Nancy Gielas, 68, died as a result of the crash.

Seven others were injured.

Chidsey is set to be sentenced March 29.
