Cuyahoga County Fair officials are investigating after a worker was injured while on the job Sunday evening.
Candyce Traci, a spokesperson for the Cuyahoga County Fair, said in a statement that the injury was not a result of a ride malfunction.
The worker was hospitalized for treatment of injuries.

The reported amusement ride incident occurring earlier this evening at the Cuyahoga County Fair is still under investigation. This incident was not the result of ride malfunction nor were any county fair attendees or riders in harm’s way. Until such time that accurate details can be shared as they pertain to injured amusement ride worker; we out of respect for his privacy can only report that he received immediate care, that he has been hospitalized and that he is going to be okay. Our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with this member of our fair family for a speedy recovery.
