Carter Freefield, a man wanted for stealing a dog from the family of a teenager who died in a crash last spring, has turned himself in to police.
Freefield, 20, of Pepper Pike, was wanted for the theft of Rick Doody's dog Leo. Doody's son Alex Doody is one of two Hawken Upper School students killed in a crash in May.
Hunting Valley police said Freefield turned himself in Friday morning with his attorney present. He posted his $20,000 bond.
Freefield is charged with theft and trespassing, according to police.
