Several police agencies — including the Lake County Bomb Squad and Lake County SWAT — searched Friday the home of the suspect in the shooting of two police officers at a Willoughby Hills car dealership.
Authorities say the suspect has not yet been charged.
Willoughby Hills police, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Western Lake County SWAT, Lake County Bomb Squad and the Lake County HAZMAT team executed a search warrant on Bishop Road in Willoughby Hills around 4:45 p.m.
The SWAT team entered the home and found "some items that could potentially pose an officer safety risk." The bomb squad checked those items to ensure safety.
HAZMAT deemed the home safe and investigators seized multiple items.
The suspect allegedly shot two officers after becoming 'irate' at the Classic BMW dealership on SOM Center Road Thursday.

Workers at the dealership called police to respond because the 30-year-old man was yelling at employees and appeared to be "under the influence" of something.
Two officers were shot, as was the suspect. They were all taken to local hospitals and listed in stable condition. Both officers were wearing bullet-proof vests at the time of the shooting.
According to the police report, the suspect had two outstanding warrants and an extensive criminal history.
