Two children, a 4-year-old and a 9-year-old, were in a home on Murray Avenue in Mentor while in the garage police said methamphetamine was being made.

The Mentor Police Narcotics Unit had the home under surveillance. Police said they saw Duane Pascale and Crystal Zsaludko putting meth materials into two cars. Police then pulled the two cars over.

"Duane had initially stopped for officers. His license was suspended. At the point of getting out of the car, he took off," said Mentor Police Lt. Tim Allen.

Police did not chase Pascale but shortly after a patrol car was in the Dogwood Lane area. "Checking that area a resident that someone had hit her fence," said Allen.

Police discovered Pascale was in the woods. A K-9 tracked him down. Both Pascale, Zsaludko and the woman living in the Murray Avenue home, Allyson Fagel, were all arrested and charged.
