LAKE COUNTY, Ohio — The Lake County Sheriff’s Office has created a new tip line that residents can use to leave anonymous tips regarding crimes.

The tip line number is 440-352-TIPS (8477). You can call or text a tip. Tips are anonymous unless you leave your information so deputies can reach out to you for more information.

“We have created this line so that members of our Lake County community can call in with information regarding persons on our Most Wanted list, crimes occurring in the community, or suspicious activity. Such tips could be key information in solving crimes,” the sheriff’s office stated.

The line is not monitored 24 hours a day and callers are asked to dial 911 for any emergencies.

“All tips we receive we be sent to our detectives for investigation or to detectives in our neighboring police departments if it involves their community directly,” the sheriff’s office stated.
