Three woman suspected of shoplifting from a store inside a mall were arrested Thursday night, according to Mentor police.
Police said a store at Great Lakes Mall reported a shoplifting in progress around 5 p.m. with three female suspects involved.
Officers responded and one of the suspects tried to run away, but was unsuccessful. Police said the other suspects were located nearby. The trio used 'booster bags' to bypass the loss prevention sensors.
The three women were charged. Willquian Jews, 18, was charged with petty theft. Daveonna Antoine, 20, was charged with petty theft, criminal tools, and obstruction of official business for running away from police. And 18-year-old Bria Christian was charged with petty theft and possession of criminal tools.
