Perry High student, 14, arrested for bomb threat

A 14-year-old student was arrested Thursday for making a bomb threat that evacuated Perry High School. 

Perry Township police in Massillon said on Thursday around noon, a report of a bomb threat at Perry High School was received. 

Students and staff were immediately evacuated to a safe area, police said, and an investigation was conducted. 

A 14-year-old boy was arrested and he was booked at the Stark County Juvenile Attention Center for one count of inducing panic. 

Police said the school's building was checked and no bombs or explosive devices were found. 

During the investigation the student admitted to make the false statements, police said.
