A woman called police to report a deer attacking her in Mentor on the Lake at around 12:15 p.m. Saturday.
When the deer and its fawns stayed in her back yard, the woman asked officers for help while she let her dog out. She said she didn't want to be attacked again, according to Mentor on the Lake police.
When police responded around 30 minutes later, they protected the woman while she let her dog out. Officers said the deer did seem aggressive toward anyone who came near it.
