Students at Elyria High School were released early Monday after a reported threat.
According to the school superintendent, 911 dispatch called the school around noon to report a threat of a gun in the school.
The school was then placed on lockdown. All students and staff were held in the gymnasium.
Around 1 p.m., the school started releasing students one classroom at a time.
Parents were asked not to go to the high school but rather congregate across the street near the Mr. Hero.
