An Elyria High School student is facing charges after police said he posted a threatening message to Twitter over the weekend.
Police said the 14-year-old tweeted on Saturday, "I feel like shooting up a school." The post tagged the Twitter account of Elyria schools.
An investigation was launched by school administrators as well as the Elyria Police Department.
The student was arrested after admitting to the threat, school officials said. He said the tweet was not meant to be taken seriously.
The student's charges will go through juvenile court. He is also expected to be disciplined through the school district.
