Lorain police said a 62-year-old woman was the latest victim in a string of purse snatchings, but this time good Samaritans stepped in to help.

Police reported that the woman was unloading groceries in the parking lot of Apples grocery store in Lorain, when a man approached asking for a dollar.

As the woman gave the man a dollar he grabbed her purse and took off running.

The man got into a white get away truck being driven by another suspect.

A woman followed the truck and called 911 to tell a dispatcher where the men were.

Lorain Police closed in and arrested two men for robbery.

Police arrested Frankie Cruz Martinez and Jeffrey Garcia Aponte.

Police recovered the woman's purse and $400 that was in the purse.

Police are not sure if the men are connected to a string of purse robberies in the last two weeks.
