The Lorain Police Department is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of anyone responsible for a homicide that took place at a Taco Bell on Oberlin Avenue in Lorain this past Sunday.

Robert Gnizak, 49, was killed in what has been described by authorities as a "possible botched robbery."

Authorities have described the suspect as a black man, about 6 feet tall, with a thin to medium build.

The shooting happened in the Taco Bell drive-thru around 11 p.m. Gnizak was stopping for food before helping a friend with their Sunday paper route. Friends of Gnizak say he was ordering food when the suspect ran to his car, taking what he could before shooting him.

Gnizak was found laying dead in the drive-thru when police arrived.

Anyone with information about his incident can contact the Lorain Police Department at 440-204-2105.
