Lorain police are alerting residents that someone is shooting out car windows.
Police say someone is shooting out the windows of about six cars a week.
Resident Diane Willis, who lives on Reid Avenue, had the window on her van shot out Monday night.
Days earlier, someone shot out the window on her other car.
“What gives someone the right to violate something I work hard for?" she said. "I don’t know no one or bother no one. I don’t understand the purpose or what satisfaction they get out of breaking my windows."
Lorain police also say someone is entering unlocked cars taking wallets, purses and electronics.
Thirty cars were entered last month alone. Police say none of the cars were locked.
