One dead two others injured in Grafton Township crash early Monday

Posted

A driver was killed and two others hurt in a two-car crash overnight in Grafton Township at the intersection of State Route 303 and Mennell Road.

According to Troopers at the scene the initial investigation leads them to believe that the driver that died failed to stop at a stop sign as they were northbound on Mennell Road and drove into the path of an eastbound car on State Route 303 that did not have to stop.

The Lorain County Corner pronounced the northbound driver dead at the scene.

The passenger in the eastbound car was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center and the driver was taken by an ambulance to a local hospital. Both of their conditions are unknown.

The intersection in all directions was closed for a couple hours while Troopers reconstructed the crash.
