Thousands without power following a weekend of high winds across Northeast Ohio

CLEVELAND — Scattered power outages Monday morning are impacting thousands across Northeast Ohio, with dozens of schools that are closed or delayed because of power outages.

Most of Northeast Ohio is under a Wind Advisory Monday until 1 p.m.

FirstEnergy customers without power as of 6:15 a.m. include:

  • 945 in Lorain County
  • 5,492 in Lake County
  • 18,670 in Cuyahoga County
  • 5,625 in Summit County
  • 8,216 in Lake County
  • 2,978 in Geauga County
  • 1,030 in Richland County
  • 51 in Huron County
  • 1,132 in Portage County
  • 607 in Ashland County
  • 152 in Erie County
  • 2,021 in Stark County
  • 1,710 in Ashtabula County
  • 595 in Medina County
  • 601 in Wayne County

A spokesperson for First Energy said for residents to report power outages and be patient. The wind gusts could make it unsafe for workers.
