MEDINA, Ohio — After previously voting to postpone the 2020 Medina County fair and then voting to rescind its decision, allowing the fair to continue on its originally scheduled dates, the Medina County Fair Board has now voted to rescind the second vote to only allow the Jr. Fair to proceed.

The decision to rescind its June 10 vote allows the Jr. Fair to proceed as scheduled but all grandstand events will be canceled.

Most food vendors, entertainment, merchants and other exhibits will also be canceled, the board said.

The fair board said it is working on refunds for those who had purchased grandstand or admission tickets.

“We truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding in these changing and unsettling times. We ask for your support as we take steps to help protect the public’s health during this pandemic,” the fair board wrote.

All Jr. Fair events will take as scheduled from Aug. 3 until Aug. 8.
