Meth lab bust in Streetsboro, 2 men arrested

Two men were arrested and charged after police located a meth lab in their home.

Wednesday night, Streetsboro police and the Portage County Drug Task Force were investigating information that led them to the 9300 block of Flora Drive.

Police said they found a large number of syringes and other drug paraphernalia along with chemicals and items used to make methamphetamine.

The Drug Task Force Clandestine Drug Lab Team was called out to clean up the home, police reported.

Jerry Hawkins, 49, and William Hawkins, 33, were arrested and charged with illegal assembly and possession of chemicals used for manufacturing of methamphetamine, police said.

Police mentioned that Jerry Hawkins was also charged with illegal manufacture of drugs.

Both men are currently in the Portage County Jail, police reported.
