A Kenton man was hospitalized on Tuesday after allegedly ingesting drugs he found in the middle of the street in Mansfield.
According to a Mansfield police report, the 32-year-old man was spotted by officers on West 1st Street screaming for help. Police said that while they were talking with the man he laid down in the street. The 32-year-old told officers after he found the drugs he ate them.
Firefighters transported the man to a nearby hospital for treatment. While at the hospital, the man told officers he had used meth and was "having a reaction to it."
The man was left in the care of hospital staff.
