An elderly man was arrested after North Canton police said he pulled up next to a cruiser, made a gun with his fingers and pretended to shoot the officer, police said.

Michael Eisenhower, 73, of Nimishillen Township, made the signal to an officer at about 3:30 p.m. Friday and then violated a traffic law, police said.

They pulled him over and Eisenhower told them that "cops should be killed" and began to reach for something in the door of his car, police said.

When an officer asked him what he was reaching for, he said, "A gun."

Eisenhower was arrested and charged with aggravated menacing and a traffic violation. He's in Stark County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
