One person is dead and other seriously injured after a car crashed into a motorcycle in North Canton just after 11 p.m. Wednesday.
According to North Canton police, the motorcycle operator and his woman passenger were headed southbound on South Main Street when they slowed to turn right onto Bonnett Street SW. A southbound driver in a car hit the motorcycle from behind, throwing both from the motorcycle.
The impact killed the unidentified operator. His passenger ended up pinned underneath the car.
North Canton firefighters had to lift the car off of the woman using air jacks and other tools before transporting her to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither were wearing a helmet.
No one in the car was injured in the crash.
Police say alcohol and drugs are not suspected.
