PIKE TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a motorcycle crash that occurred Saturday night in Pike Township.

Around 9:55 p.m., a 58-year-old man was driving a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle west on Gracemont Street with a 48-year-old female passenger. The driver lost control around a curve, drove off the road and struck a guardrail, deputies said.

The motorcycle overturned and ejected both the driver and the passenger, according to deputies.

Deputies said the man sustained serious incapacitating injuries during the crash. The woman sustained minor injuries. Both were transported to Aultman Hospital.

Neither the man nor the woman was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, deputies said.

Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash, according to deputies.
