Police responded to the 2400 block of 14th Street on Monday for a report of woman who was attacked in her home while she was sleeping.
According to Canton police, the victim reported the suspect forced open the rear door to her home and assaulted her while she was sleeping in her bed.
When the victim tried to call 911, the suspect grabbed the phone and fled the residence with it.
No further information was provided.
