Car insurance for teen drivers doesn't come cheap. For one 16-year-old girl who led Westlake police on a chase and then crashed her car, it's likely about to get a lot more expensive.

On Sunday at around 4 a.m., officers lit up their lights and sirens to pull over the girl for a traffic violation near Crocker and Detroit roads, authorities said. Instead of pulling over like a normal person, the girl apparently decided to channel her inner Vin Diesel and play out a scene from the "Fast and the Furious." Or it might have been because she already had two warrants out for her arrest, according to police.

Authorities said the teen, who was driving a Hyundai Elantra, fled east and then south through the residential area of Settler's Reserve. She only stopped after she wedged her car between two trees.

The 16-year-old was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence, driving under suspension, possession of marijuana and fleeing from police.

News 5 is not naming the girl because, regardless of how adult and dangerous her actions were, she is still a juvenile.
