An 18-year-old Akron man was sentenced to 13 years in prison for robbing a 7-11 store at gunpoint, Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh announced Tuesday.
Jurmaine Brinkley was found guilty of aggravated robbery with a gun specification by a Summit County jury, according to the prosecutor's office.
On November 16, 2015, Brinkley entered the 7-11 on Merriman Road and North Portage Path in Akron; he pointed a gun at the cashier and demanded money, authorities stated.
Brinkley fled and was later captured in Michigan.
