A Summit County jury found an Akron man guilty of raping a 5-year-old girl.
Robert D. Roper repeatedly raped the daughter of an acquaintance in 2010 and 2011, Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh said.
On Thursday, the 24-year-old was convicted of rape, which is a first-degree felony.
Roper will be sentenced on July 1. He faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole.
