Police are investigating the shooting death of a 22-year-old woman in Akron.
On Monday around 4:45 p.m., officers responded to an apartment on the 1000 block of Weehawken Place.
Officers discovered the woman dead inside an apartment from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.
The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office identified the woman as Carolyn L. Parker.
Parker was last seen Saturday night around 10:30 p.m. She was discovered by her child’s father Monday evening.
