A brazen purse snatcher who allegedly robbed an elderly woman inside Target and took her handbag was arrested on Tuesday.
Tyrone Moore, 47, of Akron, was charged with robbery, a second-degree felony.
The robbery took happened at Target, 762 Arlington Ridge, in Green shortly before 5 p.m.
Green is a small city about 12 miles south of Akron.
Moore allegedly approached the 76-year-old victim, grabbed her purse and tried to take it from her, police said.
The woman fought back and a short struggle ensued before the man was able to wrangle the purse from her. The woman sustained a minor injury and had to be taken to a nearby hospital, police said.
The man was arrested a short time later by Akron police and taken to Summit County Jail.
