Fire officials think natural gas may have caused a house explosion that shook a neighborhood in Akron Tuesday night.
The explosion happened around 7:30 p.m. at the house on the corner of South Hawkins and Courtland Avenue.
The house was completely flattened from the explosion.

Noise from the blast was heard as far as a mile and a half away.
A man who was inside the home at the time of the explosion was transported to Akron General Hospital with injuries. Firefighters said they found him several feet from the home with blood coming from his face.
Neighboring homes were evacuated and neighbors were in shock.
"It was a big boom and our whole house shook, I mean it was terrible, very terrible," said Dezmond Robinson.
Investigators returned to the scene Wednesday to gather more information, trying to piece together what could have happened.
