A freshman on the Barberton basketball team received an emotional Veterans Day surprise when her brother, whom she hadn't seen in six years, walked into the gymnasium.

Brandon Griffith, who serves in the United States Marine Corps, stunned his 14-year sister, Alea, while she was practicing with the team Friday afternoon.

The siblings hugged and cried while Alea's teammates and coaches applauded the emotional moment.

Brandon, a 2001 Barberton High School graduate, is currently stationed in San Diego. He has been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. He recently re-enlisted for four more years with the Marines.
