Twinsburg police told newsnet5.com a 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection to a Tumblr nude pictures case.
Police said the boy had no prior criminal record. He was charged in juvenile court on nine counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material.
Police said it is unclear what punishment the boy will face. There are a total of 17 victims in the case. All of them are underage girls from Twinsburg High School.
Twinsburg police detectives launched an investigation after someone uploaded multiple nude photos of high school aged females onto the micro-blogging site Tumblr.
A search warrant was filed by Twinsburg police. The warrant said the victims were from Twinsburg High School.
"If it wasn't for the time that Tumblr had taken to get back to us, this case would have been done within the same week," said Sgt. Mark Kreiger of Twinsburg police.
Kreiger added that an arrest would have been made a month ago. But he said Tumblr, where the photos were posted, stonewalled them. That's despite a subpoena and a search warrant served to the company.
