In the small community of Green, Ohio, at the busy intersection of East Nimisila and Arlington Roads, lies an ancient cemetery dating back to the 1800s.
But what lies beneath the Klinefelter Cemetery, one of Green's nine historic sites, remains a mystery.
So to uncover the hidden secrets, the University of Akron is teaming up with Green High School to identify the location of burial pits and metal artifacts.
The nearly 40 Green students will use drones and other cutting-edge technology to reveal what's beneath the surface of the cemetery.
Students, both high school and college, will learn and gain field experience in archeology and anthropology.
Once the work is complete, the students and professors will determine if a protective fence is appropriate for the cemetery and if additional signage is necessary for visitors.
