Posted

An Ohio sex offender was found in California early Thursday morning.

Dale Ryser, 42, has been on the run from authorities in Ohio since last Thursday.

Ryser was wanted for parole violations with an underlying charge of abducting and unlawful sexual contact with a minor, according to the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force. He is also wanted by Tuscarawas County for failing to register as a sex offender.

Task Force members in Akron were informed that Ryser had recently fled to California, prompting them to contact the U.S. Marshals Service in northern California. Ryser was arrested in Corning, California, about two hours north of Sacramento. He will remain in custody in California until he can be brought back to Ohio.
