A mother who was last seen in Wooster could face an escape charge - if police can find her.

On her 26th birthday, Angela Rowland escaped while in the custody of a correctional facility, shortly after visiting her kids at children services in Wayne County.

Wooster police have searched the city, but have come up empty handed so far. They say she has not been seen since.

Rowland bolted from a car just before noon near the intersection of Bowman Street and Quimby Avenue in Wooster, according to officials.

Police Chief Matt Fisher says Rowland is a resident of West Central Community Correctional Facility in Marysville, Ohio - an alternate prison fro non-violent offenders.

Bowman was in Wooster to meet with a public defender and to see her kids at children services, according to Fisher.

Police say she jumped out of the car on her way back to the correctional facility.

Rowland was last seen in blue jeans, a blue polo shirt, sneakers and a headband. Police do not believe she is violent, but are concerned that she is still out there.
