Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious head on crash that happened in Dover Township overnight.
Troopers say Christopher Hawkins, 33, was driving southbound on Interstate Route 77 on the wrong side of the road, causing him to hit another car head on.
Both vehicles had significant damage.
Hawkins was taken by Metro Life Flight to Akron City Hospital with a serious injury. The other driver, age 48, was taken to Mercy Medical Hospital by Strasburg Emergency Medical Services with non-incapacitating injuries.
Highway patrol says alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash. It remains under investigation.
