An 87-year-old man was found dead in Youngstown late Monday and now a family member is in custody.
According to Youngstown police, officers responded around 11:30 p.m. to a home in the 300 block of Harvard Street for a report of a dead body.
When officers arrived they found the 87-year-old man dead. Police said it appears he was beaten.
A 28-year-old family member was taken into custody. Aggravated murder charges are pending.
Youngstown police and the Mahoning County Coroner's Office are investigating.
