Ravenna police are searching for a group of 10 to 15 teens who are responsible for bullying and assaults at Carlin Park.
Amanda Borden said her 13-year-old daughter was physically assaulted on July 11 and had her new iPad stolen by the group, which showed no remorse.
Borden explained her daughter was grabbed by the throat and then slammed to the ground as the group surrounded her.
Borden outlined other cases of bullying by the same group at the park and called for increased security.
She believes it's up to parents in her neighborhood to become more involved with their children.
"It's very unsafe, it's scary for my kids, or anybody's kids for that matter," said Borden. "The parents, I think, should be involved with their kids more, and actually be with the children when they're at the park."
Borden posted the incident on the neighborhood Facebook page. The post received hundreds of comments in support of more awareness and security.
"I made this post on Facebook to let the teens know that we weren't going to settle for them hurting my daughter," said Borden.
Ravenna police have already interviewed several people in connection with the case, and hope to interview several additional families in the coming days.
Anyone with information about this case is being asked to come forward and contact police.
