Westlake police are looking for a robbery suspect with a taste for champagne

Posted

Police here are looking for a robbery suspect who apparently has champagne wishes and caviar dreams.

The suspect stole four bottles of champagne from the Giant Eagle state liquor store at 30664 Detroit Road on Dec. 27, 2016. All told, the value of the bubbly was $240. The suspect shoved the bottles down his pants before exiting the store.

Westlake police say the same man came back for more on Jan. 16., but found "the bubbly had been moved to where he could not get at it and he left empty-handed."

One both occasions, someone drove the suspect in a green Chrysler 300. Police say he may also have stolen similar adult beverages from other stores in the chain.

Anyone who can ID this suspect can call Westlake Police Department at 440-871-3311.
