RAVENNA, Ohio — A 10-year-old boy from Ravenna taught us all a valuable lesson on what the holiday season is truly about after he donated his hard-earned money to the Ravenna Police Department’s Shop with a Cop program.

Ben wrote a letter to the police department wishing them a Merry Christmas and included a $100 donation to the Shop with a Cop program that gives presents to children in need.

The 10-year-old said in his letter that he had worked since September doing “100 good deeds” to earn the $100 and that he wanted it to go to the program to “help another boy or girl.”

Ravenna police shared the letter on their Facebook page, commending Ben for his generous donation.
